AI proposes. Evidence explains. Educators decide.
CoAcademic exists to restore trustworthy evidence of learning. It is an independent company building assessment assurance for higher education — early, saying so, and would rather be trusted later than believed now.
01Why now
Prove what was learned
AI changes how work is produced. CoAcademic helps institutions prove what was learned. Generative tools have made the finished artifact a weaker signal at exactly the moment institutions are asked to evidence outcomes more rigorously — grading faster does not address that; making the evidence chain inspectable does.
Not an essay grader
Proposed scores and draft feedback are becoming commodity features. They are a surface of this product, not its purpose.
Not a teacher assistant
CoAcademic is built for the department and the program, where consistency and evidence are institutional obligations rather than personal preferences.
Assurance is the category
Design, calibration, evidence-linked review, faculty decision, and record — the Learning Evidence Chain that lets an institution defend what a grade claims.
02How we work
Commitments that constrain the roadmap
No autonomous grading
The product will not be given the authority to finalise a grade, however much that limits it commercially.
No detection
CoAcademic will not build authorship or AI detection, and will not partner its way into offering it.
No borrowed credibility
No invented customers, testimonials, metrics, certifications, or integrations appear on this site.
Limits stated first
Where the product is weak, uncertain, or unbuilt, the site says so on the same page as the claim.
03Status
Where the company actually is
CoAcademic has no live customers, no completed pilot, and no published research. The interactive surfaces on this site are illustrative prototypes running on sample data. The founding pilot describes intended scope; enrolment is not yet open.
The Founding Assessment Assurance Pilot
One course team, one assignment, one confirmed rubric — audited, calibrated, reviewed against evidence, and decided by faculty. Enrolment is not open; the page explains the intended scope and what a pilot would require from both sides.
